Importing contacts from Xero made easy
It isn’t fun having to mess around with spreadsheets, getting your data organised and labelled properly just so you can use it. It’s even worse when you have to do this over and over again between applications. Wouldn’t it be great if you could just do it once and then get the data you want by having different applications talk to each other?
Well you can if you’re a Xero user because RealtimeCRM and Xero can talk to each other. As a Xero partner as soon as you integrate RealtimeCRM with Xero you can import all of your Xero Contacts or just the ones you want at the push of a button – no more spreadsheets!
Importing all of your Xero Contacts
If you want to import all your Xero Contacts at once, here is the procedure to follow.
- Click on the Companies panel in the left hand sidebar
- Locate the Import button then in the drop-down select ‘from Xero’
- Go to the tab ‘Import all Contacts’
- The ‘Persons’ in Xero associated with that ‘Contact’ can be imported as Contacts in RealtimeCRM If you wish to do so, tick the box ‘Also import Xero “Persons” as RealtimeCRM Contacts’
- Press Import all Xero Contacts
Import a single Contact
If you don’t want to import all your Contacts, you can search for the ones you want and then import them in. Once again no spreadsheets neccessary. In our example we’ll import the Contact ‘Google’.
- Click on the Companies panel in the left hand sidebar
- Locate the Import button then in the drop-down select ‘from Xero’
- Go to the tab ‘Import Contacts By Name’
- Type in the name of the Xero Contact you want in the search box and then click the blue ‘Search’ button, in this case we’ll enter Google
- Once again any persons associated with the Xero Contact record can be imported into RealtimeCRM as Contacts by clicking the checkbox ‘Also import Xero “Persons” as RealtimeCRM Contacts’
- Now click the ‘Import’ button next to Google and it will be imported into RealtimeCRM
If you’re already using Xero and you’re looking for a CRM. You should get one that hooks right into it. Don’t waste time messing around with spreadsheeets. Spend your time doing what you’re best at.
